Hardin-Jefferson is very fortunate to have a Neuhaus trained reading specialist who works with our dyslexic students. Stephanie Ellzey has completed the extensive Neuhaus education Center training and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). Neuhaus Education Center is a non profit foundation that was established in 1980 and is dedicated to providing professional development for educators in research-based methods of literacy instruction. They provide a structured approach to teaching the basic language skills of reading, writing and spelling, an approach that is valuable for all students and essential for those with dyslexia.
